CA BLOCK FEE ANSWER
A question came up at our circ. meeting about patrons with a CA block on their account and we want to make sure that everyone is on the same page.
If a patron has a CA block and owes $10.00 or less, they may check out. Just inform them that the CA block will not go off until there is a zero balance and that they will not be able to place holds on their account. Just an FYI – it takes 24 hours for the CA block to disappear off their record after they have paid their account in full.
PATRONS W/ WRITTEN CARD NUMBERS FOR FAMILY/FRIENDS
There are patrons who have their spouse/kids/partner/friend/mom/dad etc. card number written on a P-slip, on the back of their card, or even have the card in hand, it’s ok to checkout to them.
We do not require a “written permission” slip from the card owner to prove that they may use that specific card. Patrons are responsible for their own card.
